Using Manila Rope
Traditional manila rope is longer lasting and better looking than sisal or coir ropes that are available for use in the garden. Made in this country, our technicians make the manila ropes using traditional methods such as the rope walk, to ensure a product is made to an impeccable quality.
Fixing manila rope to posts can be achieved by either drilling a clearance hole through the post, passing the rope through the hole and securing by driving a screw or nail through the rope or using galvanized eyes attached to the side of the post, which we can provide.
Remember, a traditional manila rope is a natural material and will shrink to a degree when wet. When ordering, you should add around 10% in length to compensate for this.
We keep large stocks of manila rope available for same day dispatch - please let us know what length you require (remembering to take account of shrinkage and knots) and we will send out the rope by 24hr carrier the same day if ordered before 12.00.
